Somalia: The Two Shariff's Agreement in Kampala Is One Conspiracy Too many

Friday, June 10, 2011.

The recently organised political conference on Somalia held at the behest of the International Contact Group on Somalia was another conspiracy too many to further deepen and outrageously complicate the already dire security, political and social situation in Somalia. At first value, ordinary people would think that the decisions reached in Kampala between the two Shariiffs were made by them. But the heart of the matter is that Somalia has been under firm foreign occupation and exploitation since 2004. Somalia's huge instability and fragmentation begun in 1992 when president George Bush senior ordered the US army to invade Somalia under the cover of humanitarianism. But Somalia's sovereignty as a nation-state was compromised when prime minister Zenawi of Ethiopia commanded 50.000 Ethiopian troops to invade and occupy south-central Somalia in 2006.

The TFG created by anti-Somalia foreign states was intended to hoodwink the Somali public and foil any endeavour by patriotic Somalis to resurrect and revive a viable statehood in Somalia. The TFG entity is a fake and toothless instrument that represents imperial interests of Somalia's enemies and it does not represent in anyway the honourable interests of the Somali people and their resources rich country. Now the three African countries who have absolute vetoes on Somalia's political and social affairs to pursue and preserve their own selfish interests, namely; Ethiopia, Uganda and Burundi, have really made up the so-called Kampala Accord between the two unelected and unwanted Shariffs. In other words, Somalia as things stand today is a colony of dark forces such as Ethiopia, Uganda and their allies.

In conclusion, The so-called Kampala accords by supposedly made by the two Shariffs are even against the basic and fabric of the TFG charter and as such is a despicable piece of laughable cynical political exercise and the Somali public couldn't care less !  What Somalia needs is an urgent all inclusive national reconciliation conference to be organised and held without further delay inside Somalia, and the ownership of such a conference must be an exclusive right solely for the Somali people.
