Somalia: The US's Criminal Assassination Of Islamic Leaders
On Thursday night the First of May 2008 at 3am local Somali time, the US's AC130 Aircraft which employs a nuclear type weapons 'bunker busters' which are deep penetrating cluster bombs targeted and instantly killed about a dozen Somali freedom fighting leaders including Sheikh Hashi Aden Ayro and Sheikh Muhyadin. this tragedy happened at the vicinity of Dusamareeb, a Somali town in central Somalia.
It appears as though the US CIA has Somali collaborator informers on the ground in Dusamareeb that made easier for the CIA to precisely target the house where sheikh Aden and his colleagues stayed or lived otherwise it would have been difficult for the US CIA to annihilate those Somali leaders in such a remote and obscure place in deep central Somalia. Nevertheless, this shows how the US CIA has deeply penetrated the root and branch of Somali society. Somalis are also aware of the fact that the US CIA employs various methods of espionage activities against Somalia including spy satellites, Aircraft unmanned drones, communications eavesdropping, Somali collaborator informers and Ethiopian proxy troops who are killing and torturing Somalis on the ground.
Having said that, it is beyond comprehension to image the US's deep rooted hostility, cruelty and murderous activities against the Somali people which goes back decades on end. The US's behaviour towards Somalia does not fit its world status as the sole superpower on the planet. In 1992, the US used the UN as a cover to invade Somalia and killed innocent Somali civilians in excess of 20.000 and completely destroyed economic infrastructures of South Mogadishu as the US battled with the Habargidir militia of late General Aideed who flatly refused to bow to American colonialism in Somalia.
The most telling of the American character came when the American General Howe who was the commander in chief of foreign forces in Mogadishu deceitfully asked the Habargidir leaders to gather at Qaybdiid's House in south Mogadishu in order to find out a common amiable solution to the political and military impasse between the US led forces and the forces led by General Aideed. Then the Habargidir leaders thought that General Howe was a man of honour who represented his superpower country and they accepted his proposal of peaceful meeting. But, alas, the American General Howe gave orders to his helicopter gunships in Mogadishu Airport to quickly take a deadly assault on the mainly Habargidir leaders and intellectuals who gathered at Qaybdiid's house and as a result over 80 Somali dignitaries and intellectuals had been annihilated by General Howe's occupation forces in Mogadishu. What a deceit and callousness by the American General ! When the BBC asked Gen. Howe who were the people gathered at Qaybdiid's house and the US commandoes killed, he replied ' Qaybdiid's house was a command centre and the people eliminated there were thugs'.
Conclusions
The US AC130 aircraft bombing and killing of a dozen Somali Islamic scholars in Dusamareeb is a history repeating itself. As a matter of fact, the US government has played a very significant pivotal role in polarising the Somali society into antagonistic and divided segments thereby destroying the Somali state in 1991 and in the last 18 years, the US has been an obstacle to resurrect the Somali state and rebuild Somalia once again. The final straw of the US government came in December 2006 when it ordered the barbaric Abyssinian army to invade Mogadishu and slaughter its population at a time when the Union of Islamic Courts brought peace and social justice to most of Somalia.
It has to be clearly pointed out that the US's so-called' war on terror' is actually a war on Muslims and Islam and that makes the US as mean spirited whose gunboat policy around the world made the world unsafe to live and created millions of refugees and worldwide misery of serious proportions. It is totally uncivilised to set the world ablaze, carry out human genocides and remain oblivious to your deeds against nations and humanity.
Sheikh Ayro and his colleagues were no threat to the US. They were simply defending and fighting for the Re-liberation of their great country from the brutal occupation of Abyssinian army who were sent to Somalia as a proxy of the US. The Abyssinian army in Mogadishu behaves like barbarians and sub-humanly. They defecate in Mosques, slaughter people like sheeps and loot everything they set their hands on it.
Sheikh Ayro and his colleagues may have died as martyrs but there are thousands of the likes of Sheikh Ayro in Somalia who will continue the freedom fighting vision against the Abyssinian army and their Somali collaborator mercenaries until final victory was achieved.
You may unlawfully kill people but you cannot kill the spirit and rightful beliefs held by people in their hearts !
